TMP2024 this event will take place on a portion of the giant grocery store parking lot. it is held by the baltimore city-based nonprofit, job opportunities task force inc.(jotf). jotf has served baltimore city for more than 25 years. we run a pre-apprenticeship construction job training program, conduct research, and advocate for public policies that remove barriers workers and job seekers from marginalized communities face when seeking jobs with career paths that pay liveable wages. the purpose of the event is to provide the local community access to free resources and information such as legal services for records expungement, employment services offered by the city, job training programs in baltimore, and the free repair of faulty brakelights on cars so that the owners/drivers don't incur fines and fees or encounter traffic stops that could escalate. a commercial food truck with all required permits/licenses will provide free food to the community members attending the event, a small mist machine will be used to provide cooling for attendees, and 6 - 7 tables will be set up under a canopy. each table will be staffed by government, nonprofit, advocacy, and community based organization sharing information about the services they provide. there will up to 2 port-a-potties available for use, they will be delivered and removed by a reputable commercial service. date of event 8/3/2024 to 8/3/2024, time : 08:00 am to 01:00 pm, area:1800(sf). outdoor event with food. $0Aug 2, 2024
