SOLID OR PERFORATED METAL SECURITY DEVICES ARE NOT PERMITTED. • DORMER WINDOWS ON ROOFS SLOPING TOWARD THE STREET SHALL BE RETAINED AND REPAIRED OR REPLACED IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER TO PRESERVE THEIR ORIGINAL ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN. • SPECIAL WINDOWS, SUCH AS BAYS, BOXES AND DORMERS, SHOULD BE REFURBISHED WHEN POSSIBLE, AND WHEN NECESSARY REPLACED WITH QUALITY FACSIMILES. • HISTORIC WOOD FRONT DOORS MAY BE REPLACED WITH STEEL DOORS, BUT MUST HARMONIZE WITH THE HISTORIC CONTEXT.
