COM2019per chap: remove six non-original pairs of shutters that are deteriorated beyond repair from front and side of property scope of work: interior/exterior alterations to include: interior demolition (category i): remove mold from basement walls and ceiling as required, demo kitchen and non bearing wall, remove tile floor, remove exterior deck stair. per chap: atp:remove six non-original pairs of shutters that are deteriorated beyond repair from front and side of property. on rear elevation, remove lead-based paint from rear wall of house. remove rear wooden stairs and related support posts and brick footers. where this removal will expose missing or damaged bricks on the wall, they will be replaced with bricks that match the historic bricks in hardness, dimensions, and color. on rear, remove half-round gutters and deteriorated downspouts and replace with 6” k-style aluminum gutters and downspouts. on rear, temporarily remove brick pavers in breezeway, excavate 5-6 feet below grade adjacent to the side wall, and apply tar and waterproofing membrane to the foundation. replace soil and relay brick pavers. on the façade, rear wall, and portion of the side wall, remove deteriorated mortar joints to a depth of 2.5 times the width of the joint or until sound mortar is reached. repoint using mortar than matches the composition, hardness, texture, color, and joint profile of the discrete mortar on each elevation. applicant to submit proposed mortars to chap staff for review and approval, and will also complete a 2 ft by 2 ft repointing test panel on the building for chap review and approval prior to continuing with the repointing. clean soiled masonry with a low pressure (under 400 psi) water spray and natural bristle brush. all work to be completed as per plans in chap files except where this atp supercedes. $25,000Mar 7, 2019
