CAPS ARE TO BE FABRICATED FROM 20 OZ COPPER. COPPER CAPS WILL BE CLEATED AND POP RIVETED IN PLACE. STEP AND COUNTER FLASHING REPLACEMENT: REMOVE AND REPLACE STEP AND COUNTER FLASHING AT THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES OF THE MAIN WINDOW DORMER. SLATE WILL BE REMOVED AROUND THE FLASHING TO PROPERLY REMOVE DEGRADED FLASHING. WOOD DECKING WILL BE REPAIRED AS NECESSARY. HIGH-GRADE UNDERLAYMENT WILL BE INSTALLED USING CAP NAILS. KICK-OUT AND TRANSITION FLASHING WILL BE SOLDERED AT CRITICAL, LEAK-PRONE AREAS, FOR A WATER-TIGHT SEAL. NEW FLASHING WILL BE MADE FROM 16 OZ COPPER. THE ORIGINAL SLATE WILL BE REINSTALLED AFTER NEW FLASHING HAS BEEN INSTALLED. THE DAMAGED SLATE WILL BE REPLACED WITH THE SAME RECLAIMED PEACH BOTTOM SLATE. SLATE REPAIR: REMOVE AND REPLACE (15) DAMAGED OR BROKEN-FIELD SLATE ON THE FRONT SLATE ROOF REPLACEMENT SLATE WILL BE THE SAME SIZE (16”X9”) AND OF THE SAME QUARRIED (PEACH BOTTOM) SLATE. CORNERS ARE TO BE SOLDERED USING 50/50 LEAD/TIN SOLDER AND COUNTER FLASHINGS TO BE INSTALLED USING THE TUCK FLASHING METHOD. REGLET IS TO BE SEALED USING LIMESTONE-COLORED POLYURETHANE SEALANT.
