At the North Chimney, perform the following repairs: • Stabilize the chimney before performing repairs to mitigate the risk of the chimney falling during the course of the repairs. • Repoint the brick masonry at the rear of the chimney, approximately 20 SF total. • Repoint 6 courses of the brick masonry below the area of the chimney to be removed, approximately 16 SF total. • Install missing step flashing at the rear of the chimney. • Cut a reglet into the brick masonry and install counterflashing at the backside of the chimney, approximately 6 LF total. • Remove the top 15 courses of brick and the associated cap at the top of the chimney. • Install a new pressure treated 2x4 framed chimney cap with ½” plywood and wrap the plywood with self-adhered flexible flashing. • Install a new 0.032 aluminum chimney cap over the wood framed cap above. as per code, *separate permit would be required to be in city right of way$59,589Jun 23, 2026
