The floating dock will contain four kayak storage racks, capable of holding a total of 16 kayaks. The dock will have no electricity, water or sewer and no docking of watercraft - the express use of the kayak launch will be for temporary use for ingress and egress of paddle crafts. The kayak launch plans have been reviewed and approved by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) and the Army Corps of Engineers. The Property to which the kayak launch will be affixed is owned by the City of Baltimore, and the Waterfront Partnership has obtained approval through the Board of Estimates to perform this construction via the attached license agreement.
