COM2019addition of air conditioning to the majority of classrooms at hazelwood elementary / middle school, facility is a 66,000 square foot building, independent packaged heat pump air conditioning units are to be installed in each classroom, units will be equipped with air cooled direct expansion (dx) cooling, electric heat and energy recovery (i.e. energy recovery wheel). modifications to the window system and the casework in each classroom are required for the installation of these units, an upgrade of the existing bge service to accommodate the increase loads associated with the hvac equipment, will include the extension of a new primary service ductbank from the existing manhole to the location of the new bge pad mounted transformer, a new secondary service ductbank will also be provided from the pad mounted transformer to the new switchboard, new branch circuit panelboards will be served from the switchboard and will serve the new hvac equipment, new switchboard will also be used to back feed the existing electrical distribution system and has been sized to serve future hvac equipment in areas not included within this project, once the new service is in place, the existing bge service will be removed in its entirety inclusive of the bge vault mounted transformers as per plans as per code.$1,620,000Dec 12, 2019
